Namma Bengaluru (My Bangalore ) - what to do on weekday- evenings and weekends !!








This Blog is for expats or Indians from other states who are visiting Bangalore for a week or lesser. Read and know What to do in Bangalore in evenings  and on weekends ? Very Short summary
  1. Commercial Street – great place for shopping, try KONARK hotel for some Roti-curries (veg rest.), or woodlands for south Indian snacks;
  2. M.G. Road/Brigade Road – good place to walk/shop/hang out; you will get very good food on church street; Try Empire – very good non-veg food ;
  3. Lal-bagh- its huge botanical garden;  Around lal bagh, there is VV Puram, where you will find “food street”, especially evening time ( chats, butter gulkand, dosas, idlies, baby corn, etc etc)  ; 4kms from lalbagh – there is Basavanagudi- you will find the largest bull statue in the temple, its tourist spot.; the other awesome place to enjoy local food is “vidyarthi bavan” – Dosa. There is also MTR opposite to lalbagh- don’t miss to visit and try – rava idly, ice crem, masala dosa and filter coffee ;
  4. Cubbon Park – to hang out ; in Cubbon park – there is aquarium to visit
  5. Indiranagar -100 ft road – this is very near to Manipa hospital ; here you will find branded stores ; try out “barbeque Nation “ – non-veg buffet is the best;
  6. From Manipal hospital – 10 mins from Cab – you will get metro station called “CMH road” – indiranagar. You can take this metro and go across Bangalore ;
  7. You can use – OLA cab and UBER – apps to call taxi from your mobile apps
    1. You can ride and pay
    2. You can rent the car for 2 to 8 hours etc
  8. Now you are in Bangalore – 2 days is good; it wil be good if you can take out 2 days time for mysore
    1. Here you can visit mysore palace, zoo, water falls, shivanasamudram etc ,
    2. If you need to arrange safe driver – you can call Prem – 9113234469; he can take you out of Bangalore and safely get you back where where ever you need.

Good information for a short trip. How about few lines about nearby places to visit on a day trip or two day trip.
